I don't get it. What is fun about that game? Can someone please explain it to me. I know you can build stuff in minecraft but is it just about building stuff that looks pretty. I don't understand minecraft.

I liked to mess around in 2b2t sometimes, it's a pain to get any decent items but the rare times you find someones base is like gambling. When I was younger I watched a ton of MC ytbers and downloaded the mods they played and messed around with them. I remember finding random servers with cool builds and chatting with people on them. I don't play it anymore but that's what I remember mostly doing.

honestly fucking hated that game always got greifed or just friends would play when i was offline and id come back just to be given full gear that i didnt have to work for so damn boring i remember actually beating the game when i was like 12 with my big brother that was actually really cool but it just kinda got ruined when i got into highschool and nobody played the game the same way i did

i enjoy it as an art tool. its like diorama building, but you have infinite resources and the world you make is alive and inhabitable. i also get a lot out of finding picturesque scenery. it may be procgen, but the game can create some beautiful views

While I enjoy playing with friends, I have recently had the idea of playing on the Alpha version as that is the first experience I had with it.

Rinko Kagayama's endless summer has better environmental storytelling than Dispatch. You don't even need to go dig deep into the visual novels. Even not that exceptional RPG maker smut games clear any design by committee commodity slop.

I am on Toram Online. It's the only one which looks cute enough and runs on my old thinkpad properly.
I really wanted to try out Ragnarock Online but the install file is huge and I get lag on private servers anyway.
I have also played all of f2p Old School Runescape but I feel like that game is only worth playing if you are willing to pay for a subscription but I hate paying for subscriptions. Runescape Private servers come and go so no point in grinding on them.
I hear a lot of good things about Guild Wars 2 but I can't play it on this PC.
So Toram is alright, it's a bit grindy but I can take it. The loading screens are alright since after I go to a place I just grind there. It's a lot better if you have friends to grind with but I don't know when I'll be able to play so I can't form a group.

I’d say the best I’ve played to date is black & soul, the maps are pretty thought out and don’t become a crowded mess, grafically beautiful, the gameplay is pretty fun not overly simplistic like digimon hunters and it has character creation.

As the title suggests, what have you been playing recently?

Plants vs. Zombies

Alan Wake 1. Has a surprisingly good pc version for what was originally a 360 exclusive, complete with some mechanical changes to account for mouse and keyboard control. It's also a pretty high quality game overall, though maybe that's to be expected from Remedy. Still, the level design and encounter design is very basic. It's better than average by yoge standards but doesn't even touch Japanese TPS action stuff of this era, not by a mile. Still having a lot of fun with it though. Once I'm done with my first playthrough I'll check out Nightmare mode. Heard it requires a more fight-or-flight playstyle which might make things more interesting.

Eden's Ritter. A dark fantasy nukige from Waffle featuring a bunch of "dark" fetishes. As much as I despise vndb I should have checked the tags there prior to playing this as some of the scenes included were really not to my liking. Others were however, so it evens out in the end. In any case, this is clearly a well made game but as is unfortunately often the case with nukige like this, the game design is paradoxically for toddlers. Despite the adult setting, scenarios, and themes, what we have here on a level of design is a game that might be interesting to kids about 5-7 years old. For anyone beyond that age group, it is insultingly shallow. I've decided to stop playing for now even though I was near the end (around 90% gallery) because I just found myself not caring about anything Eden's Ritter has to offer on any level.

guild wars 2's new expansion is close to ruining my gw2 obsession. the new maps are super pretty and fun to just exist in, but currently they have the best gold farm in the game.

no. see it's like 40x better gold farm than literally any other thing you can do in the game. it's so good that it makes everything else seem like a waste. more, the gold farm involves, going to a magic mirror, shooting a moving target, which reveals several locked chests scattered around the map then looting those chests with key charges.
there is some detail about keeping number of unlock keys you have below 25, so you can't just do all the mirrors first then do all the keys. you get 10 charges on each mirror completion, and the 3 different chest sizes take 2, 4, and 10 keys respectively.
there aren't enough keys for all the chests if you just do the mirrors once, so in order to effectively do it you have to keep track of which mirrors you need to redo or every time a mirror reveals more charges debt in chests than you can cover with just that mirror open what you can then go back to that mirror, reload the map, then finish opening. that last way is pretty ineffecient in terms of charges tho because some mirrors reveal less charge debt in chests than they reveal, so you could be wasting key charges that way.

It's my most played game on Steam and was mostly bunnyhopping, which is pretty similar to CS:S Bhop, but a little bit different. Back in the day I also liked to play some TTT and Deathrun. I think it might be fun to play those together maybe.

I would if the master server didn't completely suck. I can't stand seeing the corporate (for lack of a better term) 24 7 servers, it's just like M*necraft honestly
